IAAMHP is pleased to collaborate with MHPN to offer Continuing Professional Development (CPD) training for our members, focusing on Focussed Psychological Strategies (FPS).
MHPN will provide certifications to participants who successfully complete the training, as per the requirements. Please note that full attendance is mandatory to receive certification.
These CPD trainings are designed for professionals with adequate experience and expertise in the mental health sector and relevant fields. The goal is to help members maintain and enhance their professional practice.What are Focused Psychological Strategies (FPS)?
Focused Psychological Strategies (FPS) are evidence-based mental health care treatments derived from psychological therapies. As of 01/02/2025, FPS includes the following approaches:
- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) - Both behavioural and cognitive interventions.
- Interpersonal Therapy (ITP)
- Psychoeducation, including motivational interviewing.
- Relaxation Strategies - Stress reduction and mental well-being.
- Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
- Skills Training - Including problem-solving, anger management, social skills, communication, stress management, and parent management.
